qPCR Services

Providing quantitative information on known DNA and RNA targets, qPCR is one of the workhorse tools for pre-clinical and clinical studies
Precision offers a suite of qPCR applications, including genotyping assays, copy number variation assays, and gene expression profiling using the QuantStudio™ 12K Flex Real-Time PCR System.

Precision’s qPCR DNA and RNA analysis capabilities

We can design, validate, and implement a wide range of qPCR assays including:

  • Genotyping: typically used to assess a specific group of genes when abnormalities are well-known in advance
  • Copy number variation: useful to screen specific genes when gene amplification of deletion is suspected
  • Gene expression profiling: measure difference of expression levels of a specific group of genes
  • SNP analysis

We also specialize in challenging applications such as RNA isolation from rare cells and analysis using endpoint qRT-PCR (relative, or comparative).

Instrumentation

Precision utilizes QuantStudio 12K Flex qPCR instrumentation in conjunction with OpenArray™ technology.

OpenArray is an affordable technology that minimizes reagent use and is equivalent to running 32 384-well plates, generating 12,000 data points.
