Our tissue biomarker analysis capabilities involve leveraging solutions that provide rich biomarker data – including spatial analysis of cells within and surrounding a tissue or tumor biopsy, as well as our proprietary ApoStream® technology for capturing and enriching rare circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from liquid biopsies.

ApoStream® – CTC and Rare Cell Capture for Liquid Biopsy
ApoStream, a proprietary Precision technology, enables antibody-free isolation and concentration of target cells in liquid biopsy samples, enabling analysis of CTCs and other rare and low concentration components using methods like mIF, FISH, and genomic analyses.
Liquid Biopsy: CTC / cfDNA / Exosome Analysis
Our integrated platform technology approach enables detection and measurement of various types of biomarkers from CTCs, exosomes and cfDNA. We specialize in analyzing low abundance targets using tools that enhance the sensitivity of downstream analysis.
We offer automated multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF) services that enable quantitative visualization of up to 9 markers in tissue and liquid biopsies, and individual cells. mIF can be integrated with other methods including co-analysis using FISH/ISH.
Precision’s IHC services can be customized based on study needs, and can include development of logistical processes, kitting, special stains, and creation of a custom assay and scoring system.
Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) / ISH
Detect chromosomal abnormalities and profile gene expression in tissue or liquid biopsies using our multiplex FISH/ISH services. FISH/ISH can be integrated with other technologies to add spatial context and generate multidimensional data sets.
Our in-house pathology team can provide expert assessments with rapid turn-around times, and has a full suite of sample processing services including FFPE and microdissection for genomics applications.
Advanced technology and a customized workflow enable visualization of single-cell protein interactions
We specialize in developing customized technologies and workflows for biomarker analysis. A key focus is liquid biopsy analysis of captured rare circulating tumor cells (CTCs), circulating endothelial cells (CECs), cancer stem cells (CSCs) and other targeted cell types.
In this workflow, we first capture and enrich rare CTCs using our proprietary ApoStream technology. We then stain and image these isolated CTCs using multiplex immunofluorescence to detect both epithelial and mesenchymal CTC subtypes.Using multiplex IF on proteins
within isolated single cells, we are able to generate data on interactions of proteins of interest within a single cell.
Precision is the only CRO experienced in using the Vectra® Polaris™ on isolated cells.
